All those girls went to Prom

A memorable party was my graduation, three years ago. It was at the Stadio Italiano on December 22nd from 19 pm to 5 in the morning of the next day. I went there with all my friends from secondary and we shared one big round table for dinner. That time was the very first time I’ve attended to a formal party, and it was very funny and stressful at once to look for a dress and shoes for that night, but it was very easy for me because my grandmother received a pretty nice purple dress that was kind of what I was looking for and it only cost to me $20.000 pesos. I’ve never handle any type of high heels so I wore sneakers, it was even more comfortable for dancing all night.

This party was very important because it meant the end of school period, there are so many people from school that I haven’t seen since that time. It was the last time for me and my friends to have one activity in common and after that we all make our own different ways. Now we almost only meet for birthdays parties.

Braindead

I think the strangest movie I’ve seen is probably “Holy Motors” from 2012, but I don’t feel like written about it. I prefer to write about “Braindead” from 1992 directed by Peter Jackson.

It begins when the mother of the protagonist is bitten by a strange animal at the zoo, gets infected with the zombie virus and then dies and gets back to life as a zombie. She starts to kill and eat dogs and the virus become to expand into the town. The protagonist keeps a group of zombies in the basement or a closed room to stop them from eating and killing other people that later turns into more and more zombies.

The principal actors in this movie are Timothy Balme as the protagonist, Diana Peñalver as the love interest of the protagonist and Elizabeth Moody as the mother.

It’s between horror genre and comedy and is considered one of the most bloody movies in the history. The director gets inspired for this movie from the work of some of the biggest about gore and specifically zombies subgenre like George Romero.

Pizzaly

A country I’d like to visit is Italy, because of the history, the art, and specifically the pizza. If you ask me, pizza is one of my favorite meals ever. People told me that in Italy pizza does not taste like we are accustomed, it’s like here in Chile we have our own recipe and I would like to discover the original recipe from Italy by myself, I really want to taste it right there. So, I would travel around Rome, Naples, Milan, Venice, Florence and Pisa, looking for art, history, architecture and food. My favorite food is also Italian food, so I will be like living my dream having lunch at some family’s house or a restaurant in Rome and after that I would walk into a museum.

I don’t know what else to do there aside from visiting as a tourist, I think I would like to learn Italian and meet people, so I would say that I’d like to go to Italy to study and to learn how to cook pizza, lasagna, gnocchi, milanese, etc.

Ideal Job

Sometimes I think that my ideal job would be selling books, I’d prefer a used books store, so I would have to buy old books in different stores and from unofficial sellers and then I can read them before putting them on sale. I really enjoy reading novels and short tales, and I like to visit libraries and bookstores asking for some authors that I like. In that situation, looking for some books that I want to read, I’ve found some others interesting authors too. That’s why I am ideal for a job like this, because of my love for literature and my curiosity about books in general.

Thinking about real life, it will be really hard to find a job like this. In first place, I would need a store, and rents are very expensive. Second, it’s going to be necessary to hire a seller for staying the whole day at the store to serve clients while I’m out searching more books, and it means to pay another salary.

But thinking about a life looking for books and reading them, sounds pretty nice and easy.
